The Ghost Man of Beaverton/Hillsdale Highway

When I was a kid back in the 80's, we lived on Beaverton/Hillsdale Hwy, right on the border between Beaverton and Portland. It was kind'a low income housing back then, like it is now.
Sometime in the mid 90's, there was apparently a fast food worker down the street who got killed in traffic after getting off work. They say he worked at the Wendy's there because he's always seen in a red shirt and white pants.
Sometime around 98 or so, I'd hear my parents – and some of the neighbors – talk about seeing this same guy walking the street in the middle of the night. They say his name was Greg, but i've never been able to figure this out.
I moved back to the neighborhood about a year ago – and sure enough – the stories are popping up again. I swear I've seen the guy in the red shirt and white pants myself, walking about 2:30 or 3 a.m. I've seen him four times in the last year, and he's always wearing the same thing.
I wouldn't have thought much of it, but once I was taking a walk about that time, and I always make sure I look around me a lot when I'm walking in the middle of the night. I want to make sure I know my surroundings.
Sure enough. He appears. The thing is, as the stories go, he always shows up suddenly. You don't see him walking up behind you. And that's exactly what happened here. All of a sudden – and I swear I looked behind me several times – he was there. He wasn't there before.
I swear I did not hear footsteps either. But there was some traffic, so I couldn't be sure. I do remember him walking about a quarter of a mile ahead of me, and then I didn't see him anymore.
That's the other big thing people say about the Ghost Man of Beaverton/Hillsdale Hwy. He walks past you, doesn't say a word, and you see him for a while. Then you don't see him.
I had a friend who said she even got into her car to look for after walking on that street, but she couldn't find him.
These stories go back almost two decades now. I haven't seen him in a couple months. But I a so totally wondering. So wondering.
